Services for Employers:

Pre-Employment Checks
After meeting with the candidate and ascertaining their suitability for the role we also take into account, appearance, ability to comprehend testing which we ask all candidates to fill out, (this is then scored by our office staff) then we conduct reference checking, if this is negative we do not use.

Outplacement Assistance:
If you have to retrench staff, let us help your through this painful transition.
If you have been retrenched contact us.

Medicals
After meeting with the candidate, we ask specific questions addressing any health issues/ailments that may restrict them from particular duties. It’s imperative at this stage for them to disclose any pre existing medical conditions that may exist.
physical examinations are not conducted by Calibre but can be facilitated at the client’s request.

Police checks
If required by client we will ask candidates to provide a current up to date police check.

WorkCover and Injury Management
Calibre has engaged external specialists to assist with WorkCover and injury management.
Once a claim or notification of an injury is received the following process is undertaken:
  • The injured workers and their medical practitioner are contacted to assess the worker’s condition, the restrictions to a full return to work and the general prognosis
  • If the worker is totally incapacitated we discuss the most appropriate treatment and work with our WorkCover agent to ensure referrals to relevant specialists, where required
  • If the worker is partially incapacitated we again discuss treatment with the medical practitioner and ascertain any restrictions
  • We would discuss the possibility of a partial return to work, on modified or alternative duties. If this is not possible we would attempt to return the worker to alternative duties within Calibre.
  • If either option is available an offer of suitable duties is made to the worker and a return to work plan created. The worker’s progress and treatment is monitored during this period.
  • If a modified/alternative return to work is not possible, the worker will be referred to a rehabilitation specialist for a vocational assessment and job seeking assistance
The above steps are generally what occurs, however each situation and worker would need to be assessed on its merits. Many claims/incidents are simply resolved after a short period of total absence with a return to pre-injury duties.
